I wouldn't paint it. Chances are that you will cause more harm than good.
Wind direction vanes and anemometer cups are built and balanced to provide accurate information. Painting them will change the performance of the devises. Providing you with inaccurate data. Since they are at the top of the mast where vary few will ever see them. Don't bother to paint them, just use them. Besides if that concerned about how they look then contact the manufacturing co. for suggestions and or exchanges. Jack "asdex" wrote in message ... Hi, I have recently bought second hand a wind direction and speed unit for the top of the mast. Its the normal boack plastic stuf and going a bit white and powdery with the sun. Any ideas on painting it with something to protect it and keep the surface plastic intact? Thanks |
