This should make sailing with my family a LOT easier, for example:

Putting up the jib

LOL!

I used to sail with a beautiful girl who was quite intelligent and
capable, but found out early in life that with her looks she could get men
to do anything she wanted, so she often played the Helpless Female. So, if
I wanted to go fwd to change the headsail, I'd just let go of the tiller
and go. She'd grab it and do just fine!

I have Harken furling and a Leitch&McBride (Sobstad) 140% with foam luff.
Just before I had the furling installed, I was out single-handing and
changing the headsail with the wheel locked. It occurred to me that this
would be the last time I would do this, and it was kinda sad, really
snif!.

I've used my rig for 10 years and the sail is still useable (Used the sail
before I put on the furling, so it's 15 yrs old). I reef a little or a
lot, and have had no problems. In fact, the reefed sail sometimes seems to
work better!
