I need a Swim Platform for a 98 Chaperral, any advise ? Chaparrel wants
over $ 2,000.00 I would be happy with a teak or similiar platform.
Thanks, Captain Tom

Friend of mine built a new one for his trawler using that new fake decking
and his old one as a pattern.
Looks good and strong. No maintenence. Don't know how much he has in it, but
it's got to be a heck of a lot less than the $2k quote you got.

That looks exactly like the West Marine one I converted (made deeper)
for our boat.

Ours was only 6' and was quite a bit more than that price even at Port
Supply pricing.

Very nice product, but we beefed ours up substantially in the course of
design to make it deeper. You can see pix of that process in my July,
I think, 05 gallery in the refit section if you wonder how to put one
on...
