Have you guys actually done this or is this just "expert bar-talk" ?
I've done it twice - Long Beach to Vancouver - that's why I said - Put it in the water and drive it. Of course, if you've got $3-8K you want to **** away and no taste for life - take the wimp's way out. Jack Not necessarily into the current, but predictably into the wind, which means if you have a favorable current, it's against the wind, which can become nasty..... agreed, truck it. otn __________________________________________________ Jack Dale Swiftsure Sailing Academy Director/ISPA and CYA Instructor http://www.swiftsuresailing.com Phone: 1 (800) 470-SAIL (toll free) __________________________________________________ On Thu, 31 Jul 2003 16:05:32 GMT, "Sebastian" wrote: Does anyone have any experience in transporting a boat from California to British Columbia, about 1500 miles, by flatbed? Any companies you can recommend? Any idea of cost? Boat weight 19000# and 31 feet long. I would appreciate suggestions and information. Thanks Michael |
