Ground strap from magneto base to outboard frame was faulty. The faulty ground strap was allowing the system to operate as a 2 ground system ... with one leg of the ground going through ME. I told you so . . . Now add a backup ground strap from the throttle lever or grip or whatever bit you were getting the shock off and add checking the magneto base plate to block ground to your annual maintenance list and you'll not get shocked again. -- Ian Malcolm.
