Default newbie questions about Mississippi river boat trip

I was reading in the bathroom when I ran across an item written by
Hatunen on Wed, 09 Jul 2003 11:01:28 -0600, which

That's a pretty neat trick since the Tennessee River has no
confluence with the Mississippi.

I think the rest of us are capable of understanding Dick's meaning.
