I got the parts for my winchless jib halyard and it only took a few
minutes to make up a less kludgey arrangement than I described previously. Cheaper and cleaner than a winch and I expect that luff tension control will be more precise as well. Picture he http://home.maine.rr.com/rlma/Strider0602.htm#Cleat -- Roger Long |

I'm not a marine engineer, but I think the 90 degree PVC fittingss might
