I'm skeptical of the whole thing.
My Autohelm mounts in a HOLE that's drilled in a HORIZONTAL surface. ANY horizontal surface. The arm mounts on a ball end screw that is screwed into the tiller. If it's the wrong height, as most are, use a block of wood. Most things don't fit, exactly. But we adapt them. I'm sorry, it could not possibly "not work" if it has a tiller. wrote: I have a 79 Newport 27. Tried a simrad autotiller but it turns out that it won't work on this boat. Has anyone had any luck with any autotillers with a newport 27? Thanks, David |
