Sorry Mike it might as well be a done deal. The Planning and Zoning
board sides with the developers 90% of the time, or more often. After all it will increase the tax base for the county. Here in Duval county we have had 3 marinas go the way of condos, all after much local vocal opposition at the hearings. All to no avail. Even the most recent was a sham, the developer came up with a design that assured the existing boat yard marina and repair facilities would remain intact after some "alterations" . The last in the area. Guess what? after the "alterations" , no haul out capability or repair facilities...but there IS a swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar for owners of the new condominium units. . |
