No - it hasn't happened yet: "The proposed planned unit development
will come before the county's Planning and Zoning Board for approval
Monday at 3 p.m. at the Government Center in Viera.
The Board of County Commissioners will vote on the item Dec. 1." And
like all political decisions in our representative democracy, the fate
of the world is determined by those *we* elected.
The very depressing reality is that not that many of us vote.

Sorry Mike it might as well be a done deal. The Planning and Zoning
board sides with the developers 90% of the time, or more often. After
all it will increase the tax base for the county. Here in Duval county
we have had 3 marinas go the way of condos, all after much local
vocal opposition at the hearings. All to no avail. Even the most
recent was a sham, the developer came up with a design that assured the
existing boat yard marina and repair facilities would remain intact
after some "alterations" . The last in the area. Guess what? after the
"alterations" , no haul out capability or repair facilities...but there
IS a swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar for owners of the new
condominium units. .

Floating Trailer Parks

She's right, you know. They're just motorhomes that float.

Mike, you don't have to anymore. There's a machine that does it for
you.
