Looking for any feedback on these boats, particularly the hull material
construction (rumored to have had past problems, but "fixed" now), and sailing performance. My wife and I are reasonably experienced racing and cruising sailors looking for a "toy" to drag around and plunk in whatever water we come across on various trips... TIA Don |

Don,
You might also look at the Catalina Capri 14.2. (http://capri14.org/) It's very similar to the Hunter 146, but more reasonably priced and readily available (new and used). There are 3 revisions (mod I, II, and III). I recommend mod II or newer (1990 and after). There are also several fleets around the US which makes it a toy and a competitive racer.
