Good advice John. The acrylic urathanes that the auto industry uses have
great UV protection and will add years to the life of the Dorades

Roger, clean as best you can, wipe down with lacquer thinner, sand
lightly, tape off the areas you don't want red, take them to an auto body
shop, they can spray with the primer they use for plastic car bumpers,
finish with the red you want. Mine were done 3 seasons ago, still look
new!

We have two of those PVC Dorade vent cowls. One is white inside. The
other used to be red but is now faded and mildewed. Soft scrub and
soaking in bleach all night didn't fix it.

I'd like to paint both red inside. Is there any paint that will work on
the flexible plastic and not flake off?
