Roger, clean as best you can, wipe down with lacquer thinner, sand lightly,
tape off the areas you don't want red, take them to an auto body shop, they
can spray with the primer they use for plastic car bumpers, finish with the
red you want. Mine were done 3 seasons ago, still look new!

We have two of those PVC Dorade vent cowls. One is white inside. The other
used to be red but is now faded and mildewed. Soft scrub and soaking in
bleach all night didn't fix it.
I'd like to paint both red inside. Is there any paint that will work on
the flexible plastic and not flake off?
