No I don't sell SUV's. As a matter of fact I drive a hybrid vehicle but
I am also a scientist and am simply pointing out that your assertion
that you can tell anything about global climate changes based on two
years of local data or anecdotal evidence is ridiculous.

I don't think he is doing that at all.

If you see a bird, you might say, "There's one of that group that
migrate through here every year." You have no direct evidence that
there is a group. It could be the last one left as far as first hand
observation goes. Seeing it confirms what you know from other sources
though.

Dear Prof. Corey,
Your inability to place my comments in context renders your conclusions
invalid. If you choose to conclude that there is no global climatic
warming event in progress, please carry on without regard to the
alarmingly large body of current empirical evidence available for your
scientific analysis.
Here's wishing you warm, fresh breezes, from the east or any quadrant
for that matter.

You are doing it again, jumping to conclusions without knowing all the
facts. I never said that I didn't think there is some global climate
change occuring. Take the time to read what I said, I made no argument
one way or the other about global climate change. My only comment was
that you are basing your assertion on irrelevant information and you
are doing it again by assuming that I disagree with you.

Inconclusive. Mathematical algorithms used to analyse the last
10,000 or so years erred in forcing the numbers to generate the
famous "hockey stick" of graphed temperature rises, widely reported
a while ago. Discussions continue.

Plants need CO2, growing faster as the quantity increases, any old
plants. Only the top layer of leaves gets full sun.

The climate varies with the sun's output.

We are all doomed, anyway. Get used to it. Lighten up. Terror is a
weapon used to control inflation, amongst other things. Do your kids
need locator anklets? Don't believe everything you are fed on TV or
here.

The way to stop any supposed methane caused greenhouse effect is to
stop raising and eating large amounts of meat. There are other benefits.

High efficiency lighting means less requirement for air
conditioning, as would boxing and venting your refrigerator coils
and insulating your hot water heater, which might better be replaced
by an in line demand heater and black water pipe on your roof.

In the same way, using a few percent less energy in cars and at home
will flood the market with surplusses while reducing the dreaded
CO2, which is like ****, misunderstood, mishandled and maligned
unfairly.

Most stores and offices are air conditioned too cold for comfort in
summer dress. The energy guys want you to waste energy. They make
money on it all.

Just as the gov passed the double nickel, they could legislate
limits on air conditioning temperature, but libertarians and
professional wastrels would never catch their wigs. I think wigs
should be taxed.

Serendipity is sweet.
