IMHO it is preferable to things going BOOM as propane has been known to do. It certainly could, but in all my years around boats I've never heard of a propane explosion. Of the several explosions I've seen or known about, all were due to either solvent or gasoline fumes. With the usual precautions, propane seems to have an excellent safety record. Matt O. |
