Default List of WiFi spots on the ICW

Anyone know of, or have the resources to start, a list of spots on the
ICW where a public WiFi system is available while at anchor?
Would be pretty helpful to all,

Mike.

I heard this weekend on Kim Komando that she has a list of
56,000 WiFi hotspots. Suggest you check out her website at
www.komando.com

AS of this week.....You can use the WiFi network at Charleston's Ashley
Marina for free from any computer in range. Charleston City Marina has a
WiFi network, but you have to stop by the office and PAY for a
username/password so you can PAY for internet service beyond your dock
fees.

I doubt Ashley Marina's network will survive the condoization process. Our
boating friends decided $125,000 + $200/mo "regime fee" + whatever else
they want to assess you for when they run out of money to blow...was a bit
much and have already moved, or are in the process of moving.

Imagine the law suit these webpages will generate if the deal doesn't close
to the original owner, whos business is now ruined by the announcement.

I don't think I know any other Charleston marina that provides WiFi
service. Both these marinas are in the Ashley River where the ICW turns
South out of the harbor, to starboard headed South

I did a quick calculation of return on investment, assuming slip rental
prices similar to up here. ROI sucks. Even without the condo fees, it's
down in the 4% range. It's not an investment, it's a write-off, but it
looks like those incredibly expensive lockers are selling. (bottom
belongs to the state.)

Charleston Harbor Marina (on the Cooper River in Patriot's Point/Mt.
Pleasant) has a free wifi network that I can get in my boat in the
marina. Don't know about anchoring though.

I know a bunch of other marinas that have wifi, but you usually can
only get it near the marina office. Sometimes out on a boat in the
marina, but probably not at anchor.

Deltaville Marina in Jackson Creek and Doziers on Broad Creek (also
Deltaville)

Coinjock has a wireless network, but I could not access it.

Belhaven Waterway marina has free wireless, but it doesn't go any
farther out than on the deck.

Oriental Marina has free wireless but only on the deck and in the
office

Southport Marina also has wireless through the Fish Tales restaurant
that you pay for.

St. Augustine - there's a wireless network but you have to pay for it
in Oyster Creek. You can still log on via landline for free if you
are staying in the marina.

The same is true for Vero Beach.

Miamarina has no connection but Starbucks in the mall has a free
wireless connection.

Over on alt.binaries.pictures.erotica there is a series of pictures of a
very-nice-looking woman about 35-40, nude, taken at Charleston Harbor
Marina in darkness with flash, I'd guess. Some of the pictures were taken
at the sailfish fountain when there was a Scout Boats exhibit behind that
fountain, so I suspect it happened during the boat show....??? Another
picture, the one that got my curiosity up and pointed to CHM was one taken
at the head of the floating dock ramp. To the right of the ramp is the
sign for Palmetto Charters, a dead giveaway of where it was. There's
another nudie pix taken on a concrete floating dock next to a sailboat with
three distinctive fenders....one blue tubular one, one bright red ball-type
and one dull red ball type, which should put you to the right boat if it
hasn't moved on down the ICW. The boat looks like a 30-40' cruiser of come
kind.

I've sent the now-former Ashley Marina party boys I know the pictures but
noone seems to know her....(c;

I always thought Charleston Harbor Marina was less of a party dock, but my
views, obviously, were incorrect....hee hee.

Nicely shaved and shaped, she should be very popular over there!

Think I should forward them to the marina office?....(c; They could use
them for promos if they get permission from www.voyeurweb.com, whos
overlaid webpage address is in the middle of every one.
