The page was set up poorly. I never intended to REQUIRE a donation. I have
changed the page. The download link is available to all who would like access to it, for free, of course. I apologize for the clumsy way I originally set up the page. Lonny -- Enjoy my new sailing web site http://sail247.com "Lonny Bruce" wrote in message news:3CTFd.38$J6.2@trnddc02... Download a copy of the Rules of the Road, inland and international waters (COLREGS). You then will have a copy on your computer, and you can print it so you also have a hard copy for reference. http://sail247.com/colregs.htm We are asking for a very small donation to access this download. Thank you. -- Enjoy my new sailing web site http://sail247.com |

Lonny You could save a lot of confusion if you made it clear up front that the COLREGS you are hosting is the USA local modification of the IRPCS. This is a newsgroup with a worldwide community and many of us have no need or desire to learn USA local rules until we intend to visit your waters. Is there any chance you can find a 'clean' copy of the international rules to host on your site? -- Ian Malcolm. London, ENGLAND. Is there any chance you can find a 'clean' copy of the international rules to host on your site? I expect most countries have some local mods to the International Rule. The Canadian ColRegs are available at http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/S-9/C.R...416/index.html (we don't have the Inland Rules that the US has, so ours are probably closer to the International Rule - and they do state where they deviate.) -- Peter Bennett, VE7CEI peterbb4 (at) interchange.ubc.ca new newsgroup users info : http://vancouver-webpages.com/nnq GPS and NMEA info: http://vancouver-webpages.com/peter Vancouver Power Squadron: http://vancouver.powersquadron.ca |
