It would seem that you could download the latter version (rotr_online.htm)

This is a newsgroup with a worldwide community and many of us have no need or desire to learn USA local rules until we intend to visit your waters. One might also want to download the rules from the links listed below (both International and US Inland): http://dir.yahoo.com/recreation/outd...oating/safety/ Choose "McLendon's Nautical Rules of the Road" and then "Rules for the Rest Of Us" for a discussion of court cases explaining the rules (mostly U.S.), but not always. Maritime law is surprisingly uniform across borders in many respects. I have a few more minor corrections to send up and will do so presently. And please do not attempt to argue with me about the judge's decisions. They interpret the law - I simply report it. Regards, John...
