Default 47' Marine Trader Trawler

I am thinking of buying a 1986 Marine Trader trawler. They seem like a
great boat and are priced reasonable on the used market. Does anyone have
experience/knowledge of this boat model that they could share with me. We
would be a retired couple living about for several months at a time in the
Florida/Bahamas area. Thanks.

There used to be a Marine Trader Owner's group out there somewhere at
mtoa-news.com, but that doesn't work anymore. It had lots of good
information about buying them, stuff like the trouble with the ceiling
rotting and such.
