Default any inflatable you'd pilot on the sea?

Hey, are there any inflatables that anyone here would be comfortable
piloting 10-20 miles from shore? (let's say off the southern calif. shore).

inflatables are very safe and stable ... rescue often uses inflatables or RIB's
also whalewatching tours here use them to rip around on the ocean

Sure. 20 miles away from shore is fine as long is you are near a
real boat. If you are asking if one should take an inflatable boat
20 miles offshore by itself, I wouldn't do it inflatable or not. A 10'
boat with an outboard isn't all that seaworthy.
