Default Exhaust Leak/Black soot/Stained Upolstery

The exhaust hose on our Tartan 34 diesel sloop sprung a leak causing
black soot all over the boat. The fabrics closest to the motor [which
sits next to the port berth] are now stained black.

Any suggestions on how to clean this would really be welcomed.

Thanks,

Stan Winikoff

If the covers can be taken off, take them to a dry cleaner.
