Default Arrived in Lagos

We concluded our Atlantic crossing with a pleasant 7 day passage from
Horta in the Azores to Lagos in Portugal yesterday morning. We had very
good sailing conditions and had Common Sense sitting on a port tack for
two days with the only variation being a short period of wing on wing
before the winds shifted north again. Our final night crossing the top
end of the TSS near Gibraltar was interesting and convinced me of the
usefulness of AIS - not necessity, as we did it anyway but usefulness as
it's cool to be able to call up a vessel by name when there's a flank of
4 coming at you. We rounded Cape St Vincent early yesterday and dipped
our ensign in his honour as tradition requires.

Lagos is cool looking place and we'll probably hang out here as a base
for a month to explore the south of Spain and Portugal, plus get on the
train here and head up to Lisbon for a visit.
