There is plenty of water in the inlet, at least 8 to 10 feet, considerably more in most places, and the buoys are easy to spot. Try to time your arrival for a flood tide. We've never had a problem but have heard from others that the inlet can be dicey with a strong easterly wind/swell against an ebb tide.
