My personal preference is for electronic logging of track lines and
text logging for other information, both backed up on a regular basis
by sending to GMAIL and/or copying to another laptop. Having a saved
set of track lines with position, speed and course data is a great way
to review an extended cruise at a later date, and they really do not
take up a lot of storage space on your hard disk.
