Really, I have no favourites.

The book "Build the Instant boats" (Harold Payson) is okey. If you just like
to build any dinghy it mite do the trick all the way, both technique and
some usable plans.

On stitch & glue you will find plenty on the web. Stitch + glue + dinghy
gives 700 hits at Google.

For actual designing and knowing more about hull dynamics when doing it,
John Teale's "How to design a boat" fills it's purpose. I got that hint here
and bought it.

If you like luxury books to twinkle in your shelf, look for more expensive
stuff.

People tend to look for so different things, so it's often best to surf
around and pin-point something more closely. Then you most likely will get
better answers around here. Better questions, better answers.

You don't really need a book. Check the How To files at
http://bateau2.com
They cover almost every aspect of stitch and glue and you can see web
sites from builders using the method.

I like Devlin boats myself and have a book and video. The dinghy is a very
simple and easy to build boat.
