I just found out that some credit card companies (eg Chase and lots of
others) charge both the standard Visa or Mastercard 1% foreign currency fee plus a 2% Chase For Curr Transaction Fee - total of 3%. Anybody know good places in the US to get cards that don't do this? |

Anybody know good places in the US to get cards that don't do this? I found this out when I charged my husbands cardiologist bill on my AT&T Master Card in the Bahamas where the Bahamian $ is on par with the US $. I thought it pretty lame. I called all the cards to find out before I left for England. My USAA Master Card, and my NFCU Visa did not charge those fees. My Shell Master Card (Chase) and the AT&T card did. I'm not sure about Sears Master Card or the Amaco BP Master Card. grandma Rosalie |
