Plain-vanilla PC keyboards are dirt cheap, you can pick one up for less
than $20. If you want a fancier one, you can spend double that, or even
more if you really want to go all-out with the bells and whistles thing.
It's on my laptop...my PC keyboard is a work of art....unfortunately, it's
in storage...

Ah, that's a bit different, but in a good way. Laptop keyboards come out
easily and give you a plain circuitboard with contact switches/membrane
switches. With the batteries out and the power cord disconnected, you just
remove the top cover, remove and unplug the keyboard, take off the keytops,
and clean away. It's a really good idea to take pictures of the keyboard so
that you put the keytops back where they are supposed to go when you're
finished. For the actual cleaning, you should pick up a can of anti-static
multipurpose cleaner made specifically for computers. Office Depot has it,
as does Radio Shack and probably any other electronics/computer store. Use
lint-free pads and the anti-static cleaner, restore the keytops, and Bob's
your uncle.

have time to penetrate. No problems. I like those IBM jobs that have a
positive click when you press them. They used to cost over a hundred
new I think they quit making them, but there is ebay.
