No good deed will go unpunished. It sounds like you and "Wilma"
might have met ?

First I'd like to thank all those for their great advice. The good
news is I have a replacement hatch being shipped to me this very
moment. Thanks for the time and thoughtfulness.

Now for the second matter. I was wondering is this "Wilbur" was just
lucky guessing about me and my boat. Seemed way too much to be just
coincidence. Then someone pointed his real identity. I deeply reget
to say that yes I have had a few run ins in person with the guy. I
live on Matecumbe Key (Upper) and everyone's friend is moored just a
few hundred yards to the west. I can see his yellow **** stain of a
boat from my 2nd floor. He was the guy who claimed I broke his
notebook computer. Turn about is fair play so here's the dirt on the
guy.

He's been living here ever since I was here which is 15 years. He's
infamous for his letters to the editor of the local papers and has an
opinion on everything. You can usually find him drunk down at the
Lorilie Bar, just look for the heavily rusted Toyota pickup parked
outside. When he's on his boat he parks the rust heap over on Mastic
St where the rust stains are embedded into the pavement. He's not a
full time liveaboard he rents a room in a house over on Catherine St,
I don't recall the address but can easily go look. I've seen him
around town with an attractive but very dumb Cuban woman. They both
tried living aboard **** boat and the fighting could be heard over one
mile away across the water, especially at night. He's usually in some
type of minor legal trouble such as peeing over the side of his boat
in view of people, perpetual parking violations and loitering. The
Asian food place is the only place that tolerated him. I could go on
and on about him and probably write a book. The police found a big
stash of stolen property in the mangroves and never found out who
stole it. The telltale sign was a well beaten path leading straight to
the shoreline closest to his boat. I hope all this information ****es
the Sot off royally, he deserves. If he doesn't shut up I have much
more to tell like the time the Greek sponge guy beat him senseless.
Keep up the good work "Wilbur" so I can conjur up some embarrassing
photos of you.

That aside, thanks again everyone for the help and suggestions.
Hopefully someday I can return the favor.

Dayummm, we were just down that way, could have waked him good.
Sounds like he must be just a little west of "Yellow Shark Channel".

Good point.

Wilbur might be somebody not to be screwing with. Boats can be sunk, houses
can be vandalized or robbed. If this Wilbur Hubbard character is as sleazy
as Wilson claims what's to stop him from exacting revenge?

That could probably be interpreted as a threat in a court of law.
I'll let Dave, our resident counselor, give the final ruling.

Ok that is a pretty solid confirmation that Wilma really is ADN.
Now the sockpuppets will be claiming that *you* are Wilma and they've
been trolling us, but as Wilma has *never* produced photographic
evidence of any claim, that's easy enough to disprove if you'll play
along. A link to a photo of you by your boat, holding either the new or
broken hatch should do it :-)

Pity you didn't break it permanently. Just about every sailor on usenet
would happily chip in on a defence fund if you got him off the net and
he tried to sue. . .

*please* do. Dont compromise yourself taking them though, strictly in
public places :-) A 'rouges' gallery of shots of Wilma, that anyone who
believes him could be directed to would be a service to the sailing
community.

Glad you found a hatch Ron!
Thanks for the enlightenment on "Sir Yanksalot". He's got many, many

Oh, you're just so clever. Such originality!

trimmed

Do you have a good scope and rifle?

That could get you tossed into jail. A public firearms threat - not the
smartest of things to say.

trimmed

Did he try to bill you for a broke boom too?

I assume you refer to Capt. Neal®. The boom on my Allied Seawind 32, main or
mizzen has never broken.

trimmed

I bet the boat has never moved either, has it Ron?

That boat has been around the world on its own bottom two or three times.
Just because the old gentleman has family business to attend to lately
doesn't mean it will never move again. And here's a clue. Ron is a liar and
an asshole. Exactly what one would expect from a stink potter.

trimmed

Trash men on strike?

You should know. Your job riding on the back of that garbage truck is a step
up from your McDonald's fry cook job though.

trimmed

So he can get away with dumping 15 years of crap in your water.

Speaking of dumping. Did you ever find the remains of Red Cloud that you
dumped into the Gulf of Mexico? All that rusty metal, oil, diesel, coffee
etc will be polluting the area of the Gulf where she was abandoned and sunk
for years to come. Green coffee??? Yah, right!

trimmed

Was she of legal age?

Knowing the Good Captain, I'd say she probably is by now.

trimmed

Did you hear of his Wal-Mart caper?

That was a Capt. Neal® troll. He told me about how so many gullible idiots
fell for it lock stock and barrel.

trimmed

Was it a huge pile of Wal-Mart batteries?

Lame!

As rough as it is, it's probably more than you have since all your tired
vehicles probably got blown into the lake.
