Wilbur Hubbard Poor, hapless, Zac Blunderland's supposed to be sailing around the world but he's now been in South Africa for over two months and he just got arrested for having an expired visa. How long did it take Slocum? My copy of his book is at my mothers house. Casady Slocum actually 'sailed' around the world. No motor on his "Spray." I think it took him a couple of years but he wasn't out to be the youngest or the oldest or the fastest, etc. He didn't care much about records. His main motivation was to do a solo circumnavigation as enjoyment and he stopped and lectured, etc. as needed to get funds to continue. This is real sailing and a real one-man show. A far cry from some pimple-face kid who doesn't have a clue being pushed around the world via committee, repair crews and diesel power. Wilbur Hubbard |

Well, you see, willy boy is so desperate for someone - anyone - to communicate with him that he is now reduced to lying simply in order to make someone notice him. Pitiful, really. Cheers, Bruce |
