The heat gun does work but it is very slow and I have a lot to remove. I
was hoping for a speedy and less labor intensive method.

Most of the speedy and "powerful" methods will damage the underlying
decks.

Any chemical powerful enough to soften epoxy (I assume that its epoxy
thats used as the adhesive) will damage fiberglass. If your deck is
made of glass I wouldn't even use a heat gun. Too likely to overheat
the glass. Try a heat plate. Its like a clothes iron only more
expensive. The heat can be adjusted and it gives a more even heat than
a gun. Any way you do it will be very labor intensive.

Lewmar has replied and said that the heat gun and scraper is the best
approach.
