The heat gun does work but it is very slow and I have a lot to remove. I
was hoping for a speedy and less labor intensive method. "LaBomba182" wrote in message ... Subject: Removal of Treadmaster From: "Rick & Linda Bernard" I have a similar product to treadmaster on my boat that need to be removed. Anyone have a good method of removal? Heat gun? Capt. Bill |

Any chemical powerful enough to soften epoxy (I assume that its epoxy
thats used as the adhesive) will damage fiberglass. If your deck is made of glass I wouldn't even use a heat gun. Too likely to overheat the glass. Try a heat plate. Its like a clothes iron only more expensive. The heat can be adjusted and it gives a more even heat than a gun. Any way you do it will be very labor intensive. Lewmar has replied and said that the heat gun and scraper is the best
approach. "Rick & Linda Bernard" wrote in message ... No replies from Lewmar yet. "Lew Hodgett" wrote in message ink.net...
