Have you checked out the Stevenson Projects, Pocket Yachts ?
http://www.stevproj.com/PocketYachts.html . They can be built as open boats
or with smallish cabins, seem easy to build and the plan pricing is fairly
reasonable. I have just started the Pocket Cruiser and things apear to be
going together well.
