That is true, price for plans is not too high but I do not need complete plans for external and internal works and dimensions of all parts, just hull form, which is better than many free "boxes" sold as boat. I alredy have some good forms and get some by my self by measuring few Croatian traditional boat (very good boats) but I want see and study how to improve this forms. you can't just cold mould any hull shape. even when the hull shape is designed for cold moulding its a very time consuming process shaving the strips to conform to the shape fo the hull. you are not just putting one layer on the hull so it has to be done all over again for each layer. I think TF Jones says 1 hour per sq ft per layer to do the cold moulding part of the boat construction. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ William R Watt National Capital FreeNet Ottawa's free community network homepage: www.ncf.ca/~ag384/top.htm warning: non-freenet email must have "notspam" in subject or it's returned |
