Hi Scotty,
Couldn't reach you by email, so resorting to here.... I took you up on your offer to get the 'Instantboats' book. Yes, I'll read it through and through 3 times. I also ordered the book, 'Building boats with an open mind', (available at amazon.com to look up.) The author goes through all sorts of historical and practical boats (even house boats), hopefully with some sketches of the plans. I can't imagine someone writing a book about building specific boat styles without including so much as sketches to work from. Thanks for you advice, Scotty. Learning is on the way, Sandra ----- Original Message ----- From: "Backyard Renegade" Newsgroups: rec.boats.building Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 9:22 AM Subject: Anyone want an apprentice for free? snip Anyway, this is just a suggestion in case you get no other offers, Scotty from SmallBoats.com |
