Put anti-seize on head bolts?
Anti seize probably has a higher coefficient of friction compared to
oil and it will take less torque to end up with the same fastener preload. That's why I always back off 10% or so on torque specs with "never seez" on outboard mtor bolts. Especially head bolts. Greg Sefton |
