Default Restoration:

I have found an beautiful old cedar lapstrake boat with an strange canoe
shaped bow, from
what information I have it was made in the Simcoe lake region of Ontario
Canada around 1950 by Bonny. Not sure of spelling. It is the runabout type,
15 ft. in length.Would someone be able to suggest an good book on
restoration? I would hate to make an mess of this job. I am new to this
business which I find fasinateting. Any information would be appreciated.

Check out "Projects" at http://www.westsystem.com/ (and their other
literature). "Boatbuilding" by Gougeon Brothers also covers just about
anything you want to know.

Also, check out the Forums at WoodenBoat.com, a lot of depth of
knowledge there on all aspects of restoration, construction and maintenance
