Subject: Best type of paint From: "Robert or Karen Swarts" Do any of you have suggestions or opinions regarding the best type of paint (urethane, epoxy, gel coat, etc) to refinish the topsides of a gel coated hull? Two part polyurethane. Capt. Bill ----------- If you go for 2 part polys (LPU coatings) Keep in mind there are 2 part acrylic polyurethanes and 2 part polyester polyurethanes (sometimes the poly part is omitted in the name). The polyester ones are a small notch up over the acrylic, mostly in terms of chemical resistance. Priced in the $100 per gallon range and up paul oman progressive epoxy polymers |

I posted to this before but messed it up. A lot depends on ther sklil level
of the painter. It's hard to call the BEST paint to use not knowing who's doing the painting |
