They've a fairly new product which is intriguing: 'Perfection' a
two-part "hassle free" LPU. By this I mean the solvents / reducers are
'in the can', so all one has to do is mix and paint. (Compare this to
other two-part paints - including Interlux's legacy product 'Interthane
Plus', US Paint's 'Awlgrip' or Epifanes 'Poly-Urathane' - which require
the *precise* addition of solvents / reducers to insure proper
flow-out).

My experience is with the three products mentioned within the
parenthesis above. Of the three, Awlgrip was the easy winner.
Starting over today, I'd definitely give the 'Perfection' a try.

note that there are 2 part polyester polyurethanes and 2 part acrylic
polyurethanes and even mixes of both. All are LPUs.

All can be used straight of of the can - they already have solvent
(reducer) in them (unusually 40-65%). There are fast and slow reduces that
increase or decrease working brush time. With application temps ranging for
50 degrees or so to approaching 90, plus all the different types of spray
equipment and nozzles, most users will want to 'play' with additional
reducers to the LPU.

Note that 2 part LPU can be expensive - $65 - to about $110 per gallon
(unless you bend over and pay much much more for the name brands).

If you go for 2 part polys (LPU coatings) Keep in mind there are 2 part acrylic
polyurethanes and 2 part polyester polyurethanes (sometimes the poly part is
omitted in the name). The polyester ones are a small notch up over the acrylic,
mostly in terms of chemical resistance. Priced in the $100 per gallon range and

I posted to this before but messed it up. A lot depends on ther sklil level
of the painter. It's hard to call the BEST paint to use not knowing who's
doing the painting
