Hey everyone, just a quick question, im putting fibreglass cloth with epoxy resin on my boat and wanted to paint it, but i dont know if i have to use primer first or just add the paint? any help would be appreciated, if i use primer, which type do i get? thanks, Jason. Paints such as Interlux Britesides are commonly used directly over epoxy. |

Still, it may be wise to adhere to the manufacturer's recommendations, which for Interlux brightside reads: CLEAR EPOXY: Clean as for Bare Fiberglass. Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper. Remove sanding residue. Apply one coat of Epoxy Barrier-Kote 404/414. Mike Worrall Los Angeles |
