Right, Bobby. I guess my kid had a deprived childhood.
YOU are the who's deprived now. But why is that, Dave? Her mother wasn't a nurse. She was an accomplished lawyer who graduated first in in her law school class, practiced law for several years and then shifted careers to spend time with the kid. There are few things as creepy as lawyers. I can't even believe you'd compare a person in law to someone who's dedicated to aiding the elderly. BTW, Suzanne is now working towards Nurse Practitioner. My kid turned down admission to a couple of high schools your kid wouldn't have a prayer of getting into because admission is by highly compeitive exam. Good one, Dave. At just two and a half I bet he'd flunk those exams! BWAHAHAHAHA! You're such an idiot! Instead she graduated from one of the City's top prep schools. And now she pays for half your boat, Dave. Care to explain how that worked out and WHY? She didn't do high school drama--she went to the country's leading ballet school, performed with the City Ballet at Lincoln Center and Saratoga, choreographed an off-Broadway show at age 16, and interned with the Alvin Ailey company. Snore. I'm glad your daughter turned out okay in the face of living in a poor environment. Unlike you I'm not going to bash your kid. Oh, yeah. About those kids from broken homes. I gotta admit that Trump's kid was at that ballet school with her. Wow! Really??? Gee wiz! Thomas is going to nursery school with another toddler who's father is a famous singer! Maybe we can introduce him to Trump's daughter?! We didn't take her to movies--we took her to theater, concerts, light opera and opera. Yep, and the cinema has nothing at all to do with the arts. And the integration of arts has nothing at all to do with the cinema. I knew the snobbery would pour out of you soon enough, Dave. Dragging a kid to see G&S Lighthouse opera might have an effect, then again it might not. turned down a full ride scholarship at a university your kid probably won't even be able to get into, Why is that? Thomas father has the money. His mother has a career in medicine. His grandfather is a scientist and naturalist, his great grandfather was a atomic engineer and plant designer. My hobby's are far more refined than yours: I'm a photographer, amateur astronomer, filmmaker, writer, and I'm soon to have a book published. My musical tastes are as vast as my incredible library of classical, jazz and rock. I also have forgotten more about American Folk music and Americana art than you'll ever know. Then there's my love and encyclopedic knowledge of film, from the first efforts of George Pal and Willis O'Brian to the most modern efforts today. Dave, I'm far younger than you, but I'm twice the brains and probably three times the brawn. In your twilight years, you dried up. I can afford to buy a new C&C 99 this year, Dave. You can't. I'm restoring an MG-TF (My second) and you drive...what? Dave, you sent your daughter to a school to get some advantages. Thomas is living with them every day. We got a tour of our neighbor's home on Sunday and he's one of the folks who directs the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, though his main interests are jazz. He plunked down and played piano for Thomas. You simply can't have this kind of life in Manhattan...not for a small child. The freedom, the air, the excersise and the stimulation are off the charts compared to the city. And stop yammering about Queens. I lived just off B'Way for several years in an apartment I later cleaned up on. The noise, traffic and fumes were too much. And by the way, EVERY person in this group was on my case that we should get Thomas away from the city, so don't think you have an ounce of genuine support! Dude, you're old. You're poor. You failed. And your boat is a low end cheap and ugly hunk that is worth less than my speakers! But I'm happy for your daughter. It's not up to me, but I have more respect for the sciences than the arts. I'd like to see Thomas work on global warming fixes or study surgical procedure or ecology rather than learning dance steps. But hey, that's just me. We'll encourage him even if he wants to be a truck driver. We'll just make sure he owns a fleet! RB 35s5 NY |
