very nice Spring Break down at the boat in New Bern this past week....came home a day early so Me Sails could get his lesson plans in order for the last chapter of school coming up...is nice that different states stagger their spring breaks so one place isn't inundated with tourists at one time...the time shares near the marina werren't nearly as full as they were the previous week...I think VA has the latest Spring Break of all the states. I caught a 3 foot shark out on Emerald Island...and an 8" mullet, which I also threw back...ugly thing...all anyone was catching was mullet and sharks...and these dumb kids were surfing right next to the pier...was tempted to grab a shark and take it down to the beach to show them what they were swimming with! Got some work doen on the boat and arranged to ahve some work done on the engine next week since we have a loose motor mount....weather was a bit cool but getting away was nice...assisted some friends with a few endeavors they're undertaking and went out for some great food with some great people...all in all a good week... You missed the hard rain & wind. We had 40 knot gusts over night. Everything is fine today (a little wet, a few branches laying around). Glad you had a good week and a safe drive back.
