Default Slip Space Pricing

For years I was with the same marina slip and paid by the foot for the

Most of the marinas I've dealt with charge by the foot, but expect a
minimum for each given slip. In other words, the "nominal" slip size
or the length of the boat, whichever is greater. Since my previous
boat was a "wide body" and my current boat a catamaran, I'm used to
paying a premium over the length.

On top of this, a lot of marinas have taken to carefully measuring the
boats, so that the bow rollers and davits can turn a 35 foot boat into
a 38.
