![]() Such nonsense. What a jackass you are. Bragging about possessions, imbuing with some magic life, such that they are something to be proud of just by their existence. Poor Jeff. And I do mean that. For centuries, poets and artists of all kinds have clearly seen the "magic life" in a sailing vessel. What a loss for you that you've missed out on this common aspect of sailing. So where do you rate your boat on the "pride scale"? Just a hair below your kid? It sounds like it would be a tough decision for you. There are many kinds of pride, Jeff. You seem like a very simple fellow. You such a baby, booby. Grow up. If it means having your dull, lifeless and pragmatically heart stopping lack of vision and heart, I'll stay a baby, thank you. Sorry, booby. Grownups place special value on family, on friends, on community, on living. Not on possessions. Sophisticated grownups place value on a lot of things. You have no point at all. No big deal - it was a decision. Well, like I said: Everyone I know sails for emotional reasons. They love their boats and are proud of them, just as they love sailing. This is nonsense. No grownup runs down the street yelling "Look at me! I know how to buy a car! I can buy a boat!" That's what you've been doing here. I'm not running down the street. There are very few people here and I troll, quite well I might add. So now your saying I should brag about my boat because it shows that I'm better than poor people??? There's a leap of logic for ya! No, Jeff. You should be proud of the life you've built. And that includes your yacht. You're really sick, Booby. Get help, fast. No thanks. I don't know a single person who sails that has your cold and lifeless vision of boats and pride. Nope. I never got a penny from family. Every cent was earned the old fashion way. Hard work and pure dumb luck. I have no doubt that your luck has been dumb. But you should be proud that you earned enough to do well by your family and treat them to life on the water, at least in part. Not until you use it. Just sitting there, its lifeless plastic. I use mine more than you. Thomas was aboard 2-3 times per week and also sailed on about 5 other boats. Next season we'll take longer trips, since Suzanne is dropping to a 2 day schedule. Once again you have no point. You're the only one who brags about owning the boat. Everyone I know is proud of what they do with it. You're busted again, Jeff. I've posted videos and pics...hundreds in fact...showing my various boats sailing. I'm proud of how well I can now handle my boat. Sailing distances is not for everyone and is not the measure of a sailor. I know people who do nothing but sail on lakes. They are also proud of their skills....and their boats. Jeff, you've utterly missed the boat. But you're claiming that you're entitled to be proud of other people's work, because you paid for it. SO now you're claiming you can buy pride??? Wow, kinda challenged when it comes to reading and comprehension, aint ya?! Pride of ownership is not about someone elses work, Jeff. You don't get it. But every other sailor I know does. Why not Google "Sailing and pride of ownership" and see what comes up? Because its pretty stupid to brag about small things. It's kind of like bragging about what camera or tv you have. No one cares. Not true at all. For some people a camera is a major purchase and photography a passion. You are just judging here, Jeff...and badly at that. "Small things" is a very relative term. But you've been claiming you should brag about the mere ownership of it, while I've been saying that until its used, its just plastic. Now you're claiming something very different. You must be insane. What kind of moron would simplify my statement as though the boat were tucked away in a garage? Oh. Yeah. YOU! But you know what, Jeff...if I NEVER sailed my boat and just loved having it that would be fine too. It's not for you to judge how people live or enjoy their loves and lives. Cruising? Tell us about your great cruises. On which boat? We had a lot of great weekend cruises on the C&C 32. We'll have many more next season. Once again you lose because you think everyone should sail as you do. I guess if I owned a dull floating radiator I'd need to go places for fun too. But your way of sailing doesn't have to make ME happy, or does it? So now you're agreeing with me, its how you use the boat that's important. Get help, Jeff. And I do mean that. If someone wants to sit on their boat on the hook all the time and IT MAKES THEM HAPPY, then that's good use of a boat. Some folks put exotic cars under glass. It's their cars and it makes them happy. Not only did you miss the point of sailing, but you also missed the point of LIFE! Show a single post I've made in the years Ive posted here where I've made fun of anyone's sailing or boat except yours. Its hard to find a post of your where you're not either bragging about how your possessions are better than anyone's or where you're not denigrating someone or their boat. You have an awful and dull boat, Jeff. Most folks here know it. You're also too thick to get alt.asa at all it would appear. What do you imagine I really think of the boats in this group? Have you ever wondered what Capt Neal was really like? Do you think everything written here must have some basis in reality or are you without even a clam's imagination? Now you're just being delusional. You'll never know, Jeff. Time for sleep. G'night. RB 35s5 NY |
