The recent bombings seem to indicate, someone wants to
take control of the country and the natural gas revenues.

This has been a long standing problem.

In 1990 coup attempt by 114 Muslim radicals, who blew up police
headquarters, took over parliament, television stations and held the
country's president hostage.

Something needs to be done. Either an economic boycott
or military action.
