Sorry, but the optics of a rifle scope are not on the level of a Nikkor 70-200 VR AF-S, which is one of the finest lenses in the world at any price. In fact, your scope can't even come close to my Tamron 90mm, which is regarded as one of the sharpest telephoto lenses ever made for any purpose. Rifles? Scopes???? BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Obviously you know nothing about the precision of rifle scope optics. Do you have any AO camera lenses? It's highly doubtful Rob has collimating lenses on his cameras or even his telescope. Collimating lenses are used on precision optical equipment, not fluffy consumer cameras. I've used a collimating lens on my telescope for decades, but then I do real astronomical measurements not sight seeing. Got my start right after the Korean War. Lloyd Bonifide |
