![]() "Capt. Rob" wrote in message ups.com... I'm posting this here because it drives poor sods like Gilligan and Scotty nuts to see anyone with some cash and a good time.... All I see is camera equipment (not cash), someone taking photos of it and posting a list on the internet. Is that a good time? Just one of my rifles cost twice as much as all your camera equipment. None of your optics comes even close to the scopes on any of my rifles. Plus I carry a fully loaded rifle 6500 feet up a mountainside covered with 2-3 feet of snow. I rest going uphill and that's a good time! Your could not even carry that Pelican case of cameras up 20 flights of stairs without resting or changing hands. You could trade that camera stuff for a decent roadbike. |

Sorry, but the optics of a rifle scope are not on the level of a Nikkor 70-200 VR AF-S, which is one of the finest lenses in the world at any price. In fact, your scope can't even come close to my Tamron 90mm, which is regarded as one of the sharpest telephoto lenses ever made for any purpose. Rifles? Scopes???? BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Obviously you know nothing about the precision of rifle scope optics. Do you have any AO camera lenses? |

Obviously you know nothing about the precision of rifle scope optics. Do you have any AO camera lenses? It's highly doubtful Rob has collimating lenses on his cameras or even his telescope. Collimating lenses are used on precision optical equipment, not fluffy consumer cameras. I've used a collimating lens on my telescope for decades, but then I do real astronomical measurements not sight seeing. Got my start right after the Korean War. Lloyd Bonifide |

Is that for personal protection or is there something up there to shoot in
the snow at 6500 feet? "Gilligan" wrote in message news ![]() "Capt. Rob" wrote in message ups.com...
