Lloyd thats because you are a manly man, an American sailor. Navi was a Gentile sheep farmer unwilling to look beyond has flock. Real men look out for even his neighbors flock. We kill the murdering wolfs that opress the shepards flocks freedoms, even if we know in the short term it will bring on the whole pack because they are starving. Soon we will have killed off all the leaders, and we will just have to kill off the lone loco killer. Geeze we have the most the rabid dogs in cages down in Gitmo. Let's gas them and snuff out the rest, so the peace loving heards can roam the green meadow of prosperity without the worry of murdering dogs. Joe Lloyd Bonifide |

Lloyd Bonifide Lloyd, When I journeyed to the Gulf to find my boat, my father accompanied me. As we stood looking out at the Gulf, he reminisced about the last time he was in the Gulf, the day the war in Korea was announced. He was a very young sailor, stationed in Pensacola and they had been doing training for days. It was a beautiful day and all the sailors were wondering why on such a day they were not engaged in some important naval lesson. Then the loud speaker broke the silence, and it was announced that "we are at war." Dad said he was happy to be a sailor on that day. My father-in-law was not quite so happy to be in the Army as a foot soldier. He hated the Chinese till the day he died. Scout |

I believe the Navigator is a much better man than you describe. Possibly so. According to some, we are all "playing a character." His rants were about the US Government, not the American people (they are NOT the same). They were also about how (for example) there is no such thing as a line squall or white squall, and the captain of the 'Pride of Baltimore' was an incompetent. Everyone has their limits, he reached his. Personally I think we would all be better off if he returned. I'd agree, as long as he didn't start acting like a raging arse again. We could tempt him with some Wensleydale, Red Liecester, Japanese Sage Derby, Cerphilia,... katysails wrote Wpn't work...we'd have to kill off Doug and I'm not about to do that... Thanks. Perhaps I should portray my disagreements with Navvie as some kind of "him or me" scenario, that way I could appear victorious and tough. Doesn't fit the reality of usenet though.
