Collapse from what?

2 feet of snow that turns to ice and then has a 45 mph wind blow under
it....nothing like that would survive a typical MI winter...

Maybe, maybe not... those materials are tougher than you
think. But anyway, we aren't in Kansas any more... I mean
Michigan!

I've had 30+" of snow on mine. It held that much at least.

Hey Nutsy,

Scout is sure setting up a great "Boat trailer Moorage"! Looks like he's
worked out his inland location pretty damn well.

His evening sail is a problem but I wouldn't bet against Scout.

How about that AC/Heat pump set-up!

SCOUT;; I'll be looking for Pictures Also.

Thanks Rob,
and it begins! I'm realizing that I need to carve out a

protected place in
my very wooded yard to winter the boat. I'm spending this

weekend cutting
down 6 trees and a contractor is coming in to cut and

stone a 200 ft lane;
at the end of that lane I'll put this garage tent

http://www.coverquest.com/covers/ins...es/coverit2.ph
p I should
be able to squeeze in my camper, utility trailer, and even

my John Deere
tractor. I know the boat is supposed to be about fun, but

the urge to
protect an investment is primal. I probably should've done

all this before
buying the boat, but I thought I'd still be looking at

this point.

Doug, if we are passing close to you I'd like to meet,

show you the
boat. Only thing is I"m on a tight schedule because

work is calling
Give me a yell on the cell if you are near I -95.

ps. she's a beaut!

Glad it worked out. That's one long way to go to get a

boat.

Frank

You're right Frank!
The Gulf is a beautiful place though, and I'm glad I had

the chance to see
it.

Yep. Too bad you didn't have time to stay and sail the

Islands down
there. My timing is off, will be down there sometime in

Oct., would
have liked to have sailed with you.

And, my truck needed a new challenge though. I got about

9 mpg's pulling the
boat at a steady 60 mph.

Not too bad considering the load and engine size. In

August, I towed
my brother in laws boat from Biloxi to Mexico beach,

partly as a favor
to him, and partly as a test to see what my Dakota is good

for. I
only got 12.2MPG with a 3.9L auto. Also told me that my

Dakota is
maybe marginal for my short list of boats. His boat about

800 lbs.
lighter than I'm thinking and, although well within the

rated towing
capacity, the truck struggled a bit, particularly on

hills.

Don't forget about the other 100s of odd pounds
you'll add with stores.

Scotty

Katy & Scott,

Yeah, we know. we know.

We have Automobiles & trucks. We no longer use horse & buggies or
wagons. We don't need to store hay (as of today) A barn, with lighting
rod and HEX sign are from a time that has pasted. We don't really need a
barn, with stalls for live stock

We also build Houses with closets and hallways, We've done away with the
natld on the wall also.

We also have our house wired for electricity even most GARAGE too
