I'm on the road with my new boat, Seaward 26rk. Right now I'm in South
Carolina and exhausted. Another 600 miles of towing tomorrow.

Doug, if we are passing close to you I'd like to meet, show you the
boat. Only thing is I"m on a tight schedule because work is calling
Give me a yell on the cell if you are near I -95.

ps. she's a beaut!

Glad it worked out. That's one long way to go to get a boat.

You're right Frank!
The Gulf is a beautiful place though, and I'm glad I had the chance to see
it.
And, my truck needed a new challenge though. I got about 9 mpg's pulling the
boat at a steady 60 mph.

I only wish I had had the time to sail her home, now that would have been
something! Every place I stopped, people came out to admire her.

Yep. Too bad you didn't have time to stay and sail the Islands down
there. My timing is off, will be down there sometime in Oct., would
have liked to have sailed with you.

Not too bad considering the load and engine size. In August, I towed
my brother in laws boat from Biloxi to Mexico beach, partly as a favor
to him, and partly as a test to see what my Dakota is good for. I
only got 12.2MPG with a 3.9L auto. Also told me that my Dakota is
maybe marginal for my short list of boats. His boat about 800 lbs.
lighter than I'm thinking and, although well within the rated towing
capacity, the truck struggled a bit, particularly on hills.

Don't forget about the other 100s of odd pounds
you'll add with stores.
