Default Save our Ship

the distress signal (...---...) came first, after the
original distress signal (CQD[?]) was deemed to be too
confusing. It just so happens that the signal represented
SOS. It was later that someone coined the Save Our Ship
phrase. This was on the History Channel a while ago.
