My question is if I go down there am I going to get a "hey you get the hell away from there!" from just walking around on the dock? Or is it ok to actually walk around and admire as long as there is no touching involved. thanks, Scott It shouldn't be a problem. If you see an owner on his/her boat, stop and chat. You'll get a lot of information. Just don't go climbing on boats without permission. -- Capt. JG @@ www.sailnow.com |

Oh lord I wouldn't climb on anyone's boat. To me that would be like someone
climbing in my window...and dude that is just totally uncool... It shouldn't be a problem. If you see an owner on his/her boat, stop and chat. You'll get a lot of information. Just don't go climbing on boats without permission. -- Capt. JG @@ www.sailnow.com |

I found someone standing on my Cal 20 one day. He was just looking, but it was strange. -- Capt. JG @@ www.sailnow.com |

JG @@ www.sailnow.com You would be surprised at how many uncool people there are out there....bassholes, especially. I had an argument one morning when I got up to find a bass boat parked on the stern of our boat...they were fishing under the keel. I asked them to please remove themselves from my premises and they got all huffy. I explained that my cockpit was my porch and that the area directly behind my stern, in an enclosed marina, was my backyard. Once when we were moored, there was a scraping alongside our boat at the wee crack of dawn..pulled aside the curtain to be met with a pair of eyeballs looking back at me...very disconcerting. I wonder if he's regained his hearing yet? |
