Um, AOL stopped providing a usenet server for it's customers quite a while ago. When that happened, Bobsprit started posting from Google. This could still be a forgery, of course, but it wouldn't be that simple to prove. It's pretty silly on his part, because he could switch to newsguy for $80 a year and get everything he has now, plus better usenet. He's paying something like $25 a month for a ****ty ISP and no news servers. He knows my email address and I would be glad to help him transition. He could even keep his old AOL email address for awhile for $5 a month until he feels comfortable with letting go. CWM I lose nothing by giving this the benefit of doubt and assuming it is true until shown to be untrue. If true, then the person needs some sympathy in spite of past disagreements, if untrue, then it can be used against him in the future. So, the right thing to do is offer sympathy. |
